| Conservatory Renovation, Refurbishment and Repair
There are a number of stages that you need to go through when undertaking a conservatory refurbishment or repair. Each is equally important to ensure that the job is finished to the customer's complete satisfaction for years after the work has been done. While all jobs are different here are the basic stages.
Stage 1 Initial assessment and quotation
Having arranged a convenient time with you, one of our experienced and trained consultants will spend an hour or so at your home to assess the condition of your conservatory, diagnose the causes of the problems, discuss your requirements for possible upgrading, recommend the best course of action and leave you with a no obligation quotation for the work.
The technical assessment will very often require comprehensive investigation which may involve inspecting the roof to look at the state of the roof panels, glazing bars, roof vents, lead flashing, valleys and ridges. The reasons for deterioration of a conservatory structure can be complex and can be due to a combination of many factors such as the materials and components used, poor installation and below standard design. The level of expertise needed by the consultant is extremely important in ensuring the correct solution is specified – We are specialists in conservatory refurbishment and have many years experience in the industry
Stage 2 Survey
The conservatory is then surveyed to establish all materials required and sizes, access for undertaking the work, health and safety issues, and to prepare everything necessary to complete the works. This stage is usually completed by the leading member of the team that will carry out the conservatory refurbishment. This gives continuity throughout the process and ensures a swift, efficient and quality installation. Following the survey, a date will be booked for the installation to take place
Stage 3 Sourcing and manufacture of materials
Different materials, many suppliers and the considerable improvements in technology mean that there has been a massive array of systems and components used over the past decades. Only experienced conservatory refurbishment companies will have the knowledge and expertise to source the correct replacement parts to do a professional job. Using the wrong components or 'making do' may only solve problems for a short period of time, if at all! It may even make the situation worse!
Where a conservatory roof needs to be replaced we will specify the best system suitable for your conservatory. In many cases, components are no longer available. In these situations We will manufacture the parts accordingly to ensure quality is maintained and the refurbishment to the standard expected.
Refurbishing is an ideal time to consider upgrading the performance of your conservatory to modern standards in terms of solar heat reflection, insulation, and glare control and as specialists in this area we can advise accordingly.
Stage 4 Installation / Fitting
Our experienced teams of fitters, will then complete the refurbishment. Usually the installation will be completed in two to three days, keeping any inconvenience to a minimum - larger or more complex conservatories may of course take longer. Everything will be left tidy and clean with all furniture and fittings back in place. Your conservatory will have been refurbished and transformed to 'as good as new' condition - in many cases better than new!
We will only ask for full payment once you are completely satisfied with the completed job.
